It’s been rough out there for Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo.
Russo put his credibility on the line when he announced that the Arizona Diamondbacks could and would not defeat the Phillies in Philly in Games 6 and 7 of the NLCS. Russo announced he would retire if such a thing happened … which it did.
Now, Russo’s covering the D-Backs as they vie for a Fall Classic win over the Texas Rangers. Heading into Monday night’s Game 3 (series tied, 1-1), the Diamondbacks’ social media had fun with Russo adding the L in “NLCS champs.

Heat forward Jimmy Butler is one of the highest-paid players in the NBA, but that does not prevent him from chasing the American dream of hitting big on lottery tickets.
Despite being extremely wealthy, Butler was seen in a store asking for as many $1, $5, and $10 tickets as he could get for just $100, as opposed to the more expensive options.
“Just don’t give me no $30 tickets… make it out to $100, I am trusting you now,” Butler said to the store cashier on a video clip.

The Cardinals will reportedly be making a quarterback change for their Week 9 clash against the Browns.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon reportedly plans to bench Josh Dobbs in favor of Clayton Tune or Kyler Murray for the game against Cleveland on Sunday, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
After Sunday’s loss to the Ravens, Gannon had initially said that Dobbs was going to remain Arizona’s starter and that Murray was day-to-day. After reviewing the tape, Gannon had a change of heart and will now be choosing between Tune and Murray as the starter in Week 9, Meirov reported.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins officially tore his Achilles tendon and is out for the rest of the season. OutKick’s Armando Salguero covered the potential replacements on Sunday night. He didn’t mention New Orleans Saints backup Jameis Winston.
Why? Because that’s unlikely to happen.
The Saints don’t have an incentive to trade Winston. Derek Carr has already suffered an injury this season, though he didn’t miss any games. New Orleans does have tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill, but they’ve already proven they don’t view him as a viable long-term QB option.
