As it seemed like Świątek was going to cruise to a win, Muchová fought back winning six of the final 10 games in the second set and taking a 2–0 lead to start the third, However, Świątek dug deep to hold off Muchová, winning the final game on a break point.
Johns Hopkins fell one run short of the Division-III college baseball national championship on Thursday afternoon but not without a remarkable performance from Gabe Romano to give the Blue Jays a chance. Swiatek holds off Karolina Muchova for her third title in Paris
Iga Swiatek now has her third French Open title.
Swiatek came out on top against Karolina Muchova in thrilling three-set match, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, to emerge victorious in Paris on Saturday.
After a convincing 6-2 win for Swiatek in the first set, it looked as if she was going to cruise to the title, taking the first three games of the second set to lead 3-0 midway through.
But Muchova had something in store for the top-seeded Swiatek starting with the fourth game of that second set.
