Phil Kessel is one of the most beloved players in the NHL—and he reinforced why that is after winning the Stanley Cup for the third time in his career on Tuesday night.
Kessel was a healthy scratch for the Golden Knights for most of the playoffs but was as crucial to Vegas’ success as anybody, having played all 82 regular-season games as he extended his NHL ironman record.
With the season over, it’s time for Kessel to revel in his accomplishment and party hard. Well, not too hard.
“Obviously it’s going to be a fun night, and, uh, try not throw up,” Kessel said after Game 5.

During Tuesday’s ‘reverse boycott,’ one A’s fan made a brilliant Ted Lasso reference
Earlier today we relayed the story about the ‘reverse boycott’ put together by Oakland A’s fans on Tuesday night. With the team’s current lease in Oakland expiring at the end of 2024, owner John Fisher wants to move the team to Las Vegas. The Nevada State Senate approved a new stadium for the A’s, a massive $380 million project which seems to be running into some roadblocks.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow got honest when asked about who he thought was the best quarterback in the league.
While you might think the typically confident Burrow (who is also looking for a new deal) would say he is, he didn’t. Instead, he pointed to two-time Super Bowl champion, Patrick Mahomes.

#Bengals QB Joe Burrow on who the best QB in the world is right now: “I don’t think there’s any argument right now. It’s Patrick [Mahomes]. Until someone has a better year than he’s had. He’s the one to knock off.”pic.twitter.

Tiger Woods may have the oddest In & Out burger order and the absence of one of the best ingredients raises red flags.
Tiger Woods gets asked some of the most random questions, but that comes with being a professional athlete. TaylorMade asked him which Tour stop had the best food, and Woods wasted no time.
“I think anything on the west coast because, I mean, they have In & Out burgers,” Woods said.
Most people would likely agree that In & Out is a top choice, but it raised some red flags when Woods gave his order.

After weeks of speculation, the Nevada senate made the Las Vegas A’s a much more realistic possibility.
Just a few days ago, the state senate declined to vote on the bill required to fund the team’s new stadium project.

But on Tuesday, after significant negotiation, state senators voted in favor of giving the A’s up to $380 million in public money.
The bill will now head to the assembly, and if passed, will go to Gov. Joe Lombardo for signature.
