Even prior to the start of NBA free agency, it appeared that Austin Reaves was bound to remain with the Lakers for the foreseeable future. The buzz surrounding Los Angeles was that the franchise was willing to match any offer Reaves—a restricted free agent—received.
Apparently, that buzz may have worked in the Lakers’ favor, as Reaves eventually signed a four-year, $56 million contract extension, but as Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto reports, that salary amount was nearly much higher.

It appears the mystery has been solved as Brock Purdy returns to practice and takes QB1 reps. That’s just one of the many notable moves around training camps.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may not have had any idea who/what Oppenheimer is/was, but the man is a mastermind when attempting to pass his digits to Taylor Swift.
But sometimes, even the most well-thought-out plans don’t come to fruition.
Kelce talked about his harebrained scheme on an episode of his podcast New Heights which he does with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
The Kelces discussed Travis’ recent trip to catch one of Swift’s shows.
It’s up to Justin Herbert to own the spotlight and drive the Chargers to the Super Bowl.
The harrowing reality is that sudden cardiac arrest is the No. 1 killer of young athletes, and men’s basketball players are the most vulnerable. The silver lining for James and other players is that it is no longer a virtual death sentence.
One of the first things Brian Harman mentioned after his dominant Open Championship win was the new tractor set to be delivered to his house and how excited he was to put his phone away and kill a few hours on his new toy when he gets home.
That’s just one example that shows that Harman is just your normal, Georgia-raised guy who just so happens to be incredibly gifted at the game of golf.
Prior to his win at Hoylake, Harman was more than happy to be an under-the-radar PGA Tour player who had quietly earned more than $25 million in his career.
So much of the focus this NBA offseason has been on the contenders and what all they’re doing to make pushes to land in the winner’s circle next summer. The Suns got Bradley Beal, the Warriors unloaded Jordan Poole and snagged Chris Paul, the Celtics landed Kristaps Porziņģis and their archrivals, the Heat, are trying to make a trade for superstar Damian Lillard.

Tony Finau has a strong argument for why he should be in consideration for the Ryder Cup team in Italy later this year.
The 2023 Ryder Cup is around the corner. Tony Finau is one of the players on the outside looking in, hoping captain Zach Johnson gives him a chance.
Finau, the defending 3M Open champion, said that the Ryder Cup is always on his mind from the beginning of the year.
“I would say any American golfer playing, it’s a goal of theirs to be on this team. That hasn’t changed,” Finau said.
Rob Gronkowski played nine of his 11 NFL seasons with the New England Patriots. That, almost, was not the case.
The 6-foot-6 tight end was a second round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. He went on to average nearly 15 yards per play throughout his career with 92 touchdowns in 142 regular season games.
Gronkowski was named a First-Team All-Pro four times, reached five Pro Bowls, led the league in receiving touchdowns in 2011 and won four Super Bowls. It is impossible to imagine that he is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
Of the four Super Bowls, three of them were with the Patriots.

It took all of one practice to make it official in Carolina
It must have been one hell of a first practice.
Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers took the field Wednesday for the first practice of their training camp. Following the session, head coach Frank Reich made it clear. The rookie quarterback is the starter.
“Yes, he’s QB 1.” – Frank Reich on Bryce Young’s role.
