Former Clemson walk-on football players are in jeopardy of losing their scholarships as the program has surpassed its 85-scholarship limit.
Clemson currently has 88 scholarship players mainly due to an influx of seniors returning for their final year. However, the program must meet its max of 85 by August.
“We didn’t anticipate seven seniors coming back,” said Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney on Tuesday, per TigerNet. “We do a good job in managing our roster but that put us over. … They all know. We tell them upfront.

Tom Brady is entering his first NFL season since 2000 as a spectator—an odd reality for fans and the 45-year-old after he officially retired from the league in February. Naturally, fans constantly float the idea that the seven-time Super Bowl champ could unretire yet again, but it doesn’t seem likely. 
However, Brady gave an interesting answer when asked if there was any chance he’d come out of retirement and play for the Dolphins. 
“Oh man,” he said while at an event in Miami on Thursday.

As the Warriors prepare for Game 3 on Thursday night down 2–0 to the Kings in their first round series, they’ll be playing without star forward Draymond Green.
Green was suspended by the NBA after stomping on Sacramento forward Domantas Sabonis in the fourth quarter of Game 2 after Sabonis grabbed onto Green’s leg when they got tangled up behind a fast break.

Shohei Ohtani is in the last year of his contract with the Los Angeles Angels, and he’s expected to sign the most lucrative contract in the history of American professional sports this winter. Baseball’s big spenders are reportedly readying their offers, and a new report from ESPN insider Jeff Passan says Ohtani could be traded midseason if the Angels fall out of the playoff race.

Having coached teams that long held the records for the most points and wins in an NHL season, Scotty Bowman knows the only concern for the Boston Bruins was what happened when they hit a rough patch. “When you get adversity,” Bowman said, “it kind of gets your attention.” After breaking the points and wins records and losing just 12 of 82 games in the regular season, the Bruins are finally facing adversity.

Dillon Brooks garnered a lot of attention Wednesday night after the Grizzlies’ 103–93 win over the Lakers in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series. Not for his 12 points, though, but because he called LeBron James “old” and added, “I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40 [points].” 
James, 38, finished the game with 28 points and 12 rebounds on 12-for-23 shooting from the field. Brooks added some insult to injury by adding that he would have liked to play against a different version of James.
