Houston got drastically better now, but this move could haunt them.
Nobody made a bigger splash on night one of the 2023 NFL Draft than the Houston Texans. That goes without saying when you make two picks inside the top-five. The rebuilding team, rich with draft assets from the Deshaun Watson trade, marked a new era with DeMeco Ryans at the helm by getting one of the draft’s best quarterbacks in C.J. Stroud, then turned around to get the best pass rusher in Alabama’s Will Anderson Jr.

Tennessee defensive lineman Elijah Simmons might have a career outside of football once his playing days are over. Known for his ability to get after a quarterback, the 340-pound monster is also a singer, which he showed off Tuesday night by singing the national anthem.
Before Tennessee took the field to play Wofford, head football coach Josh Heupel threw out the first pitch, acting as the opener co-headliner for the Vols pregame fun. Before a crowd of over 3,000 fans clad in orange, Elijah Simmons grabbed the microphone and showed off his vocal skills.

This will be the fourth different team Cobb has played for in his career, following two separate stints in Green Bay, one year in Dallas and one year in Houston.

AD, Lakers hold off Dubs to steal Game 1, 117-112
It might (might) be time to accept our inevitable doom fate, which is that the Los Angeles Lakers could reasonably be Finals-bound. I know it’s only one game. And I know how effectively the Denver Nuggets have taken the Phoenix Suns to task in the West’s other semifinal series.
DENVER – Sage Northcutt had a near impossible entry into the highest level of MMA.
At just 19 years old, the highly decorated karate stylist was picked up by the UFC in 2015 after company president Dana White spotted him at a regional MMA event in Texas that was being filmed for the reality series “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight.”
While he was undefeated at the time, many openly questioned whether a teenage athlete could thrive in the biggest organization in the sport.
How did spring practices and the latest roster maneuvering impact Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and the rest of our rankings?
The NBA on TNT crew has had an excellent start to the postseason so far. Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson have been at the top of their games breaking down key moments and having some fun while doing it. It’s the best studio show in all of sports and will remain so until they call it quits.
But what Charles Barkley did Tuesday night crossed a disgusting line and had fans everywhere feeling sick.
What did the NBA legend do? He cleaned his cell phone by licking it with his tongue.
For real.

When Reds pitcher Luis Cessa moved from the Reds’ bullpen to their rotation last August, he understood his job was changing, with a new strategy and approach and routine. But he was caught off guard by one of the byproducts. The switch meant he was about to spend a lot more time in the dugout. And that meant he was about to spend a lot more time considering potential home-run celebrations.
Cessa took his time. (After all: No one wants to introduce something new in September.
