You can expect some type of fireworks on Saturday at Colorado’s Spring game. It’s a given with Deion Sanders. Tomorrow, a program that has seen ticket sales soar, breaking records in the process, presents the opportunity to showcase what’s to come.
No, this will not be the team we see in the fall, at least competitively. But this is the opportunity for Deion Sanders to put his program on blast in front of the college football world. If anything, this will be a recruiting showcase for the future.
Three players received indefinite suspensions from the NFL and can apply for reinstatement after the 2023 NFL season.
Marcus Smart could have seethed. And maybe he did? A year after collecting 257 points in winning his first Defensive Player of the Year award, Smart’s name disappeared from the ballot. No first-place votes. No seconds. No votes at all. Jaren Jackson Jr. won it. “Congrats to him,” says Smart. “He’s been showing it all year.” Jimmy Butler got a vote. Alex Caruso got two. “I’m really just surprised D-White [Derrick White] didn’t get a vote,” says Smart. “But it is what it is.”
In a quiet moment in front of his locker Tuesday, Smart was diplomatic.
His father famously said that “Everybody’s Got A Price,” and it’s apparently is true.
Former WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase Jr. has been charged with multiple counts of fraud and theft related to stealing federal funds in connection with a wider welfare scandal involving NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre.
DiBiase Jr., who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer ‘Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase,’ allegedly received millions of dollars from Mississippi non-profit organizations that were supposed to be used for disenfranchised women and children, according to federal prosecutors.
This has to be the worst jumbotron message ever, right?
The list of good ideas for messages on a jumbotron at a sporting event is very short. It’s adorable when a child gets a birthday wish and feels famous for a moment. It’s sweet to share an anniversary with thousands of people. It absolutely should not be this… ever.

Far be it from me to assume what happened between Alexandria W and whoever paid for this, but it feels like a last-ditch attempt to save a relationship.
1. When it was becoming clear that legendary NBA play-by-play man Marv Albert would end his run as TNT’s lead voice, I wrote a couple of columns saying that Kevin Harlan was the only choice to replace Marv.
Turner Sports came through and elevated Harlan as its lead play-by-play person last season, and Harlan called the Western Conference Finals for the network. While Turner has other excellent play-by-play folks, such as Ian Eagle, on its roster, it was Harlan’s time.

Ohio State players keep falling close to the draft. Why?
We’re less than one week out from the 2023 NFL Draft and in a move that’s become clockwork, Ohio State prospects are falling, and being slammed at the same time. The latest comes with the release of the scores in the S2 Cognitive Test, which has become the chosen testing method for quarterbacks over the outdated Wonderlic.
The scores, which aren’t hard numbers, but rather percentile marks, reportedly place Ohio State quarterback C.J.
