I Am Maximus, the 2024 winner, heads the field for Saturday’s Grand National at Aintree, with last year’s champion Nick Rockett declared a non-runner on Thursday.
I Am Maximus, owned by JP McManus, triumphed by seven-and-a-half lengths two years ago then finished two-and-a-half lengths behind Nick Rockett – trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by his son Patrick – in 2025.

Géraldine Reuteler set to join Arsenal
Arsenal are set to sign Switzerland forward Géraldine Reuteler on a free transfer according to reports.
Journalist Tim Stillman of Arseblog has reported that while the Gunners tried to complete the signing of Reuteler last summer but couldn’t agree a fee with Eintracht Frankfurt. However, they will now complete the signing on free transfer this summer.
The 26-year-old is currently in her eighth season at Eintracht Frankfurt having first joined the team when they were still known as 1. FFC Frankfurt having initially joined from Luzern.
