As Will Wade builds his new staff after returning to LSU, he has officially added a former SEC coaching legend.
Longtime former Mississippi State coach Rick Stansbury joined Wade’s staff as his associate head coach. The move was announced on Tuesday.
The coach of the Bulldogs from 1998-2012, the 66-year-old initially retired in 2012 before returning as an assistant at Texas A&M in 2014. He later served as the head coach at Western Kentucky from 2016-23 and was an assistant at Memphis from 2023-25.

NEW DELHI: The Bangladesh government on Tuesday appointed former cricketer Tamim Iqbal as the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), and dissolved the current board of directors of the country’s cricketing body.
The current president of BCB, Aminul Islam Bulbul, has been removed by the country’s National Sports Council (NSC), which formed an ad-hoc committee to run the day-to-day affairs till fresh elections are held.
This development comes days after the BCB reached out to BCCI requesting the revival of bilateral ties.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Gabriel Arias was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday due to a strained left hamstring.
Juan Brito was called up from Triple-A Columbus and will make his big league debut during Tuesday afternoon’s game against Kansas City. Brito is batting sixth and playing second base.
“We’ve been excited about Juan for a really long time. And I feel like last year with his injuries, we would have seen him last year at some point, but we just couldn’t be more excited,” manager Stephen Vogt said.
