Two evening games in a row? What is this, the regular season?
We got another nightcap for you guys as the Athletics play host yet again, this time to the Chicago Cubs. Both teams are just days away from the beginning of their regular season campaigns and are fine tuning their rosters and alignments.

Mar. 20—An Albert Lea teenager who won his first gold medal as part of the U.S. Paralympic sled hockey team said earlier this week he is still in shock about the team’s historic victory.
The team defeated Canada 6-2 on Sunday to win the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games with a perfect record. It is the only hockey team — Olympic or Paralympic — to win five straight gold medals.
“I was super excited,” 18-year-old Landon Uthke said. “It’s my first gold medal, but it’s a team effort. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without all of my team.

Tempers and temperatures run high during March Madness, with the elevated stakes and every game being a win or go home battle. 
Often, especially for big programs, success or failure in March can be the difference between a head coach keeping his job or heading to the chopping block. Usually, those staffing decisions come from the athletic director or administration. Sometimes, it’s at the behest of fans or donors upset with the macro direction of the program.

America’s team for the NCAA Tournament finally met its match, as Miami (OH)’s run in the postseason came to a screeching halt thanks to a dominant performance by Tennessee, losing 78-56 to the Vols. 
After defeating SMU in the “First Four” on Wednesday night, the RedHawks found themselves staring at a different type of opponent in Philadelphia. The one thing this Miami team could struggle with in the postseason was playing a team that would be way too physical on defense, which the Vols essentially were for the entire outing.

The Golden State Warriors currently sit 10th in the Western Conference, half a game behind the Portland Trail Blazers and LA Clippers, who occupy the ninth and eighth seed, respectively. More importantly, they’re 7.5 games out of the sixth seed, which is currently held by the Denver Nuggets. The Royals won the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, toppling regular season co-champions Austin Peay and Central Arkansas to claim a 15 seed in the 2026 tournament.

The Men’s NCAA Tournament is a melting pot of college teams. There are the powerhouses that make their way into it every year. Some mid-majors win conference tournaments to win an automatic berth. And there are schools from the smaller conferences that produce entries people have rarely, if ever, heard of. This year, one of those “Cinder-fellas” is Queens, the ASUN tournament winner. And the name might fool fans, but Queens is not one of the boroughs in New York.
