Mateus Fernandes looks increasingly likely to leave West Ham United this summer, with Liverpool among the clubs watching closely as a major transfer battle begins to form.

According to TeamTalk, the 21-year-old midfielder has been “given the green light to leave West Ham this summer” following discussions with the relegated Hammers.

When the 2026 NBA Finals kick off, there will be a few familiar faces to Kings fans on screen. Former Kings guard De’Aaron Fox and former head coach Mike Brown will both be fighting to lead their respective teams to a championship. 
Nearly a year and a half since the fall of that Kings group, there’s no greater reminder of what could have been for them than this Finals matchup.

Emerson Hancock, the breakout star of the vaunted Mariners rotation in 2026, turned in another strong start last night against the Mets, going six innings with seven strikeouts and giving up just two runs, both on solo homers.

Tamin Lipsey had a historic four-year career at Iowa State, and the 22-year-old is now carefully working hard to prove himself as a prospect ahead of the 2026 NBA draft.
Lipsey was a second-team All-Big 12 selection last season, averaging 13.5 points, 5.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals. He was also recognized on the Big 12 All-Defensive team for the third time after ranking 11th in the country in steals (77) and 20th in defensive win shares (2.6).
The 6-foot-2 guard left as the leader in steals (313) and starts (137), while he is second in wins (98) and fourth in assists (602).

Victor Wembanyama admitted that seeing Gregg Popovich after the team advanced to the Finals brought out emotions he had not felt in a long time. Still, he stressed that San Antonio must now reset mentally and understand that the biggest challenge is still ahead. “I saw Pop right away when we landed, and the emotion was really something I haven’t felt in a while,” Wembanyama said. “Coming back down from this is a challenge and it’s not done yet.

The fifth-year NBA player finds himself in rare company entering the 2026 NBA Finals, because it quite literally doesn’t matter who wins, he’s getting a ring anyway. This is happening because Jeremy Sochan began the 2025-26 season with the San Antonio Spurs where he played 28 games, averaging 4.1 points per game in 12.8 minutes.

Last week, the deadline to withdraw from the 2026 NBA draft in order to return to college next season passed, with one Alabama basketball player choosing to do so in Amari Allen.
As a result, Allen will now play for Alabama next season, while the Crimson Tide‘s other player testing the NBA draft waters, Labaron Philon Jr., did not withdraw his name, bringing an end to his college basketball career.

The New York Mets are still attempting to salvage their season and are coming off a month of May where they posted a 16-13 record. However, with the club still below .500, there are already swirling MLB rumors about an All-Star at Citi Field whom other clubs covet.
MLB insider Robbert Murray reported that while New York isn’t anywhere close to considering being sellers at the MLB trade deadline, clubs around the league are eyeing starting pitcher Freddy Peralta.

A record 1,248 players representing 48 nations are on the final World Cup rosters released by FIFA on Tuesday.
The rosters include Lionel Messi of Argentina, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Guillermo Ochoa of Mexico, who will be competing in the World Cup for a record sixth time.
Of the players in 104 matches in Canada, the United States and Mexico, 357 have competed in at least one previous World Cup while about 891 players are in the event for the first time.
The rosters reflect a wide range of ages, with more than 25 years separating the oldest and youngest player.
