In Dallas, newly signed New York Giants linebacker Chauncey Golston played in a 4-3 system but is now moving to a 3-4 system under defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. For some, that adjustment could be challenging but Golston doesn’t believe it will impact him at all.
“Dallas is a four-down but they’re very multiple, too. Under both of the last two coordinators, we ran 4-3, 3-4. I feel that I will be able to pick it up — well, there’s no picking it up. It’s what I’ve already done,” he told reporters on Thursday.

Indiana basketball star Oumar Ballo shared some concerning comments about receiving death threats.
The Hoosiers lost to Oregon 72-59 in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, and the team’s fate now rests in the hands of the NCAA Tournament committee.
Most projections have Indiana as one of the final teams in or one of the first teams out. It’s going to be a very close call.
Following the game, Indiana star Oumar Ballo revealed that he’d received death threats throughout the season after losing games.
“We lose one game, two games, next thing you know, your DMs are crazy.

With the early free agency rush winding down, we have a better idea of what the San Francisco 49ers roster will look like entering the NFL draft.
They didn’t do much in free agency that dramatically altered their needs, but it did give us a better idea just how sizable each of their top NFL draft needs are. That helps a lot with our first post-free agency mock draft where connecting on San Francisco’s top needs and selecting the top player available don’t always align.

The best season of Sam Darnold’s career ended with back-to-back duds, but the Seahawks aren’t focused on the final chapter of the quarterback’s 2024 season.
Seattle traded Geno Smith to the Raiders in order to make space for Darnold to become their starting quarterback and he officially signed his three-year deal with the team on Thursday. A press conference followed that signing and head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters that the team is confident that Darnold’s play for most of last year was just scratching the surface of what he will do in the future.

As usual, the start of the NFL’s free agency period shakes things up on the draft front. The negotiation window opened on Monday and the league’s new year began on Wednesday afternoon. What impact will that have on mock drafts released this week? Well, it could be a lot or it could be minimal depending on one’s perception.
There are different viewpoints on how a team can address offseason needs. The Dallas Cowboys, for instance, are bottom of the barrel spenders while teams such as the Buffalo Bills have poured plenty of resources into the roster.
