After the ‘Royal Rumble,’ WWE has a difficult needle to thread with Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes.
The 2023 Royal Rumble ended with one of the great angles in WWE history, although at press time it does not appear it will be leading to the main event of WrestleMania.

From overuse to defending refs at all costs, rules analysts hurt NFL broadcasts.
1. “The rules analyst job is the most overrated thing to ever happen in sports broadcasting.”
I wrote that in Traina Thoughts two weeks ago. After watching the AFC and NFC championship games Sunday, I can say that the rules analyst job is not only the most overrated thing to happen in sports broadcasting, but it’s also become the most annoying thing in sports broadcasting.
The rules analyst should be brought on ONLY to explain a rule that the audience may not know or understand.
The All-Star duo went back and forth on Instagram after Saturday night’s controversial play.
After the Celtics escaped with a 125–121 overtime victory over the Lakers on Saturday night, LeBron James and Jayson Tatum engaged in some banter on Instagram following the controversial no-call at the end of regulation that had the NBA world abuzz.
Tatum appeared to hit James on the arm as he attempted a potential winning layup at the end of regulation. However, officials let the play go and did not make the foul call.
Sunday’s NFC championship win wasn’t a classic, but it will be remembered for how it served as another symbol of what Philadelphia has become under its coach.
Nick Sirianni leaned against a wall in a Lincoln Financial Field hallway, and as the Eagles coach recounted his speech from the night before to his team, he’d jogged his memory to pull a full prognosis on a horrific leg injury he suffered as a Mount Union sophomore 20 years ago.
He tore the muscle off the bone. He ripped every ligament in the ankle. He had compartment syndrome and a staph infection.
The Philadelphia Eagles had no issues winning the NFC Championship with a 31-7 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Jalen Hurts had only 121 passing yards but the Eagles rushed for nearly 150 yards as a team. The Eagles defense forced three turnovers and also had three sacks while keeping the Niners to under 200 yards of offense. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe rate the Eagles performance on a 1-10 impressive scale.
Hate him or love him, you have to admit that there’s never a dull moment involving Patrick Reed. Not only did he trade jabs (and tees) with Rory McIlroy all week at the Dubai Desert Classic, but Reed found himself in just his latest cheating controversy as well.
During Sunday’s third round, Reed’s tee shot on the Par 4 17th was lodged in a tree. He and a rules official identified his ball stuck in the tree which then allowed him to take an unplayable penalty below.
Identifying the ball saved Reed at least one shot.

Holding is holding, except when it isn’t
There is an old saying about watching football that goes something like this: You could call a holding penalty on every single play.
Complaining about officiating is nothing new in the world of sports, and it is not isolated to football. Dip your toes into the world of F1 for example, and you will see fans of Lewis Hamilton fighting with fans of Max Verstappen about the end of the 2021 season to this very day.
Social media is questioning what former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said during Sunday’s game.
The hockey world has lost one of the all-time greats with the death of Bobby Hull.
Hull, 84, who was known as the Golden Jet, died early Monday morning according to Chicago’s The Daily Herald.
He is the Chicago Blackhawks’ all-time leading scorer and made his NHL debut during the 1957-58 season. He was part of the Blackhawks team that won the 1961 Stanley Cup, the franchise’s last win before a modern dynasty won Cups in 2010, 2013, and 2015.
During his time with the Blackhawks, he scored 30 goals in 13 consecutive seasons.
She didn’t wait to tease Cincinnati fans with a cold-blooded message.
The Chiefs are heading to Super Bowl LVII after their AFC championship game win over the Bengals on Sunday and one Kansas City supporter is rubbing it in with three simple words.
Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, took to Twitter and appeared to throw shade toward Cincinnati right after the Bengals’ heartbreaking 23–20 loss.
“Cancun on 3,” she said on Twitter.
