Despite a slow start to the season, Clark is a likely candidate for First Team All-WNBA.
Caitlin Clark has been on a tear since the Olympic break, averaging 24.3 points per game on 43.6% shooting along with a league-best 8.9 assists. Her play has been a big part of why the Fever have climbed to the #6 seed, and has put in position to receive MVP votes.
I wouldn’t believe it if the word wasn’t coming from the man himself, but it appears that Jaromir Jagr is planning on hanging up his skates at the end of this season.
I didn’t think this could ever happen — especially not after we saw the 52-year-old battling along the boards with dudes half his age during a preseason game — but here we are.
On Thursday — the day after Jagr had an assist to kick off his 37th season of professional hockey — there were rumors that this season with the would be his last.
The last WNBA playoff berth and the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds are at stake as the regular season concludes Thursday.
The Jordan Chiles bronze medal saga is a long way from being over and new audio evidence in the gymnast’s latest appeal serves two purposes: it bolsters her case and highlights just how ridiculous this whole situation is in the first place.
The Olympics have been over for weeks, and the battle for Chiles’ bronze in the floor exercise competition — which was stripped days after the competition — is still raging. As a Team USA guy through and through, I want to see her get that bad boy back because I want us to run the medal count score up on everyone.
UNCASVILLE, CT – While the Connecticut Sun easily clinched a playoff spot prior to Thursday night’s regular season finale against the Chicago Sky, their first-round opponent is still undetermined.
The most likely scenario, overwhelmingly so, is that the Sun will face the Indiana Fever and rookie sensation Caitlin Clark in the playoffs beginning on Sunday.
Entering Thursday, Indiana is locked into the No. 6 spot in the WNBA standings, meaning they will play the No. 3 seed in the first round. Currently, that’s the Sun.
George Kittle and Charvarius Ward sat out Thursday’s practice with injuries for the 49ers, who are already dealing with injuries to Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel.
Bryce Young on Thursday admitted he was surprised when Panthers coach Dave Canales benched him in favor of veteran Andy Dalton, but he also took responsibility for statistics that were historically bad.
Shohei Ohtani stole his 50th and 51st bases of the season on Thursday, putting the Dodgers star two home runs away from the first 50/50 season in major league history.

After Day 1 at the BMW PGA Championship, let’s look at the Round 2 tee times as Rory McIlroy looks to avoid problems.
Day 1 of the BMW PGA Championship saw some eventful golf, especially from Rory McIlroy. He shot a 5-under 67 to sit two shots off the leader.
Matthew Baldwin shot a 9-under 63 to lead after 18 holes. There are 11 at 5-under alongside McIlroy, so plenty of guys are lurking on the leaderboard.
Among those with the Northern Irishman are Shane Lowry, Matteo Manassero and Billy Horschel.
