Even knowing what we know now, I’m not sure how high the game would rank. But the NFL had to get rid of the game that was previously scheduled in that slot – Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns – because that matchup is terrible.
Sure, it might have looked OK in the preseason.
Notre Dame‘s men’s hockey team has just unveiled a fantastic new uniform for its outdoor clash with Penn State early next month.
The NHL Winter Classic is coming up on New Year’s Eve at Wrigley Field with the Chicago Blackhawks taking on the St. Louis Blues, but it’s not the only game happening on the temporary sheet of ice.

The Cubs have traded Cody Bellinger to the Yankees, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan on Tuesday. Chicago also is sending cash to New York in the deal, which will see right-handed reliever Cody Poteet go from the Yankees to the Cubs.
New York isn’t sitting on its hands after losing Juan Soto in free agency. The Yankees reportedly acquired former NL MVP Coby Bellinger in a deal with Chicago.
