If there’s ever been a single-season team bad enough to make its fans hope the organization leaves for a different city, it’s the 2024 Chicago White Sox. And the season isn’t even a full month old yet.
The White Sox are bad. Well, bad is a dramatic understatement considering just how bad they’ve been through the first 3-plus weeks of the season. The word “bad” is an understatement even; horrific, horrendous, terrible, atrocious, unimaginable, embarrassing…those are better choices.

Major League Baseball has dealt with some significant media rights challenges over the past few years, particularly with the Diamond Sports bankruptcy in 2023.
That led to the league taking over broadcasts for several teams, including the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks. Nationally, Commissioner Rob Manfred has also announced the league’s intention to create its own streaming service that would be blackout-free.

The NBA Playoffs are going on currently and the Denver Nuggets have been trouncing the Los Angeles Lakers, taking a 2-0 series lead Tuesday.
In Game 1, the Nuggets busted the Lakers’ kneecaps, winning 114-103.
In Game 2, Denver ripped L.A.’s heart out, winning 101-99 on an incredible Jamal Murray buzzer-beating jump shot.
It may be too soon to start running the Victory Lap — that won’t stop Nuggets coach Michael Malone from clowning the Lakers, either intentionally or unintentionally.

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley released some steam on Tuesday night related to ESPN-NBA analyst and former player, Kendrick Perkins.
The second act of Perkins’ career involves appearing on TV and spewing bad takes. Last week, he went after the “Inside the NBA” crew, aiming at Chuck and Shaquille O’Neal for ‘bad-mouthing’ the Knicks this postseason.

Barkley wailed at the poor thing, sending a message to Perkins that he would get knocked out in this war of words.
