For the 21st consecutive year, the Missouri Tigers had at least one player drafted. For the second consecutive year, the Tigers produced a first-round pick and for the first time in program history, the Tigers produced two picks in the top two rounds in consecutive seasons.
The Tigers have now had 31 players drafted since 2015 and 17 taken since the start of Eliah Drinkwitz’ tenure in Columbia.

Ethiopia’s Tigst Assefa surged to victory in a world record for a women’s only field in the London Marathon, while Kenya’s Sebastian Sawe triumphed in the men’s race.
Olympic silver medallist Assefa burst clear of 2021 winner Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya with 10km to go before crossing the line in two hours 15 minutes and 50 seconds.
Assefa beat the previous record, set by Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya in London last year, by 26 seconds.

LONDON (AP) — Sabastian Sawe of Kenya won the London Marathon on Sunday for his biggest career victory after making a solo breakaway with about 10 kilometers left.
Sawe pulled away from a leading group of nine runners about 90 minutes into the race and finished in 2 hours, 2 minutes and 27 seconds.
Sawe made his move when his rivals slowed down at a drinks station — opting not to take any water despite warm temperatures.

MARGATE – On an evening that threw Gloucester Catholic and St. Augustine more curveballs than they saw in their actual game, very little went according to script, except Braeden Lipoff continuing to crush baseballs. 
The Gloucester Catholic junior catcher and East Carolina commit entered Saturday’s late-night game against St. Augustine batting .542. He proceeded to raise his average by 79 points. 
Lipoff went 5-for-5 with two home runs, including a grand slam that broke a 5-5 tie in the sixth inning, four runs scored and seven RBIs as Gloucester Catholic beat St.

The Tampa Bay Lightning tightened the series against the Florida Panthers with a 5-1 win in Game 3 on Saturday, cutting Florida’s lead to 2-1.
Late in the third period, with the game already decided and Tampa Bay leading 4-1, Panthers’ Matthew Tkachuk delivered a late open-ice hit on Lightning’s Jake Guentzel that led to a major penalty and a potential suspension.
Tkachuk hit Guentzel moments after he had passed the puck to Anthony Cirelli, who scored the final 5-1 goal into Florida’s empty net to extend Tampa Bay’s lead.

BEREA — Growing up in Canton, Harold Fannin Jr. knew all about how much the Cleveland Browns love the tight end position.
Although he’s too young to remember Ozzie Newsome, he has heard all about the Hall of Famer who caught 662 passes for 7,980 yards and 47 touchdowns in a 13-year career with the Browns.
What Fannin is looking forward to most is hanging out with David Njoku and becoming a sponge under the 2023 Pro Bowler, who led the Browns with 81 catches and a career-high six touchdowns two seasons ago.
