Spurs injury news: Postecoglou reveals star man set to miss out against Liverpool, ahead of Europa League semi-final clash

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Son Heung-Min will once again miss out for Spurs in Sunday’s Premier League match against Liverpool.
The South Korean has been missing for Spurs since the first-leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Postecoglou revealed the 32-year-old has been suffering with a foot injury, which has worsened in recent weeks.

Chelsea won all five of their final games of last season to clinch sixth place in the Premier League table and qualify for the Europa Conference League under former head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
This time around, Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea need a similar run – starting against Everton on Saturday lunchtime – to avoid another sixth-placed finish and achieve the goal of qualifying for the Champions League.

The first night of the NFL Draft is one filled with drama, anticipation, excitement, and in some cases, heartbreak. Hopefuls wait to hear their names called to find out where they’ll start their (hopefully) long careers in the league. The green room, as a result, is understandably an emotionally precarious place.
This year’s NFL hopefuls brought friends, family and coaches to Green Bay, Wisconsin for the draft. In a room full of dramatic emotion, Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston was a ray of good vibes all night.

Real Madrid’s European failure this season stung, in particular for striker Kylian Mbappe and coach Carlo Ancelotti, but a Copa del Rey final victory over Barcelona on Saturday would rapidly ease the pain.
Los Blancos crashed out of the Champions League 5-1 on aggregate against Arsenal earlier in April, while their arch-rivals Barca progressed to the semi-finals for the first time since 2019.

Jaxson Dart hasn’t played one game, hasn’t taken one snap for the New York Giants. Truth is, he hasn’t been fitted for a helmet yet because he just got selected by the team – improbably, some might say – less than 12 hours ago.
And yet everything feels different.
The Giants came into Thursday’s NFL draft as one of the league’s worst and perhaps most hopeless franchises. 
The good people that work for that team and have won a lot of games and accomplished a lot of things would cringe after reading that last sentence. But it’s a fact.

Anderson’s jukebox was playing all the woke hits: President Trump, African-American reporters – or lack thereof, and Shedeur Sanders. And Anderson danced right along, unwillingly.
Former Packer Clay Matthews was the first to contribute to Anderson’s horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day.

It’s a big weekend for racing enthusiasts as NASCAR’s Cup Series hits the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. The Cup Series Jack Link’s 500 will headline the weekend on Sunday afternoon, but the NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series will also take the track at Talladega earlier in the weekend, too.

In the first round of the draft, the Lions welcomed Tyleik Williams who fills my #1 positional need on the team. With almost every current defensive tackle carrying medical or age concerns, the 22-year-old Williams is a welcome injection of youth. He was also very reliable in his college career playing in 13 games each of the past three seasons.
There was a mild medical concern that popped up during his pro day however. The video shows him grabbing at his left distal hamstring and posterior knee area while running the 40-yard dash.

The first draft pick of a new regime is often seen as a declaration of what kind of team you want to build and the Raiders leaned into that after selecting running back Ashton Jeanty with the sixth overall pick on Thursday night.
Jeanty ran for 2,601 yards in his final season at Boise State and General Manager John Spytek called him a “foundational piece” at a position that they “really value” in the offensive system that head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly are installing.
