Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards took his trash talk too far during Saturday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Edwards was fined $50,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for “directing inappropriate language and making an obscene gesture toward a fan,” the league announced.
The incident occurred during a timeout in the third quarter of the contest.

He initially drew the interest of college scouts while playing high school basketball in Charlottesville, Virginia, but then emerged as a star in eight-man football.

Missouri added more competition to the offensive line group.
Florida State transfer offensive lineman Jaylen Early committed to the Tigers after his Monday visit. The 6-foot-4, 297-pound redshirt junior entered the spring portal window with two years of eligibility remaining.
Early showed his versatility this past season, playing right tackle, left tackle and right guard as the Seminoles started nine different combinations on the offensive line looking for a solution.

In each of their first two seasons under head coach DeMeco Ryans and with C.J. Stroud at QB, the Texans have won the AFC South and a Wild Card game before losing in the Divisional Round. However, the team fired OC Bobby Slowik and named Nick Caley as the new offensive coordinator to try and get Stroud back on track in Year 3.
Houston has rebuilt through the draft in recent years. In 2022, the Texans drafted the likes of Derek Stingley Jr., Kenyon Green, and Jalen Pitre.
