The 2025 NFL draft kicks off Thursday night from Green Bay. The hosting Packers are entering the draft with eight picks: one in each of the first six rounds and two in the seventh round.
After making 11 picks in 2024, 13 picks in 2023 and 11 picks in 2022, general manager Brian Gutekunst will be more limited in terms of draft capital in 2025. But all picks are tradeable, and Gutekunst and the Packers can move around the board to accumulate more capital if desired.

Florida State won an ACC championship on Saturday. And a few days later, the women’s golf team was rewarded with a No. 1 seed in a regional for the first time in program history.
FSU will play at the Lexington (Ky.) Regional on May 5-7 at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville (Ky.). The Seminoles are ranked No. 3 in the most recent NCAA poll by Scoreboard-Clippd and No. 4 in the Mizuno/WGCA Coaches Poll.
The Saints finished 5-12 last season, their worst year since going 3-13 in 2005. New Orleans hired former Eagles OC Kellen Moore as the new head coach for 2025. The Saints have missed the playoffs in each of the last four seasons and now have the youngest head coach in the league in the 36-year-old Moore.
QB Derek Carr still has two years remaining on the $150 million contract he signed with New Orleans in 2023. The Saints went 5-5 in Carr’s 10 starts last season but were 0-7 in the games he missed due to injuries.
New Orleans, which has not picked inside the top 10 since 2008, has the No.
The Saints had two first-round picks in 2022 and they’ve made different decisions about the fifth-year options on their contracts.
General Manager Mickey Loomis said that the team will exercise wide receiver Chris Olave’s option for the 2026 season. They will not be exercising right tackle Trevor Penning’s option, however.
Olave, who was the 11th overall pick of the draft, will make $15.493 million under the terms of the option. Olave had 159 catches for 2,165 yards and nine touchdowns in his first two seasons, but concussions kept him out of nine games last year.
In their first season under head coach Dave Canales, the Panthers went 5-12 as the struggles continued in Carolina. QB Bryce Young, who Carolina selected with the 1st overall pick in 2023, was benched early in the season in favor of Andy Dalton. Young regained the starting job and showed some improvement down the stretch, but has still had an underwhelming first two seasons in the league.
After going 2-15 in 2023, Carolina would have had the No. 1 pick in last year’s draft.

The NCAA must have been seriously agitated when it could not go after certain schools for penalties surrounding NIL inducements when it decided to punish the Fordham basketball program for impermissible benefits and major infractions dating back to 2021.
In a world where schools are now putting together rosters that exceed a $20 million pricetag, the NCAA decided that going after Fordham would be a way to show that the organization still holds some type of power over enforcement.
