Thirty years after the Browns left Cleveland because they couldn’t get a new stadium, the Browns are attacking the law that was passed to keep the Browns from leaving Cleveland in order to get a new stadium.
Dueling pieces of litigation are pending over the Art Modell Law, aimed at preventing a repeat of the team leaving town.
Via the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns have asked to amend their pending lawsuit. It’s a basic procedural step that is routinely granted.
The Browns continue to attack the Modell Law as unconstitutional.

Halfway through March, Aaron Rodgers’ indecision about whether he’ll play next season and which team he’ll choose is getting frustrating.
Rodgers is putting on the biggest “will he retire/won’t he retire” campaign since Brett Favre this offseason, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants seemingly left as suitors after the Minnesota Vikings recently backed out.
Speaking up to call Rodgers out on his indecision was Steelers veteran Cam Heyward, who dismissed the silly thought process Rodgers undertakes and pushed the aging QB to make a decision or get lost.

An old friend of the UFC would like to return to the octagon as Nate Diaz said last week he wants to “go back and get a UFC title.”
Diaz, 39, who joined the UFC in 2007 after appearing on “The Ultimate Fighter 5,” fought out his contract and left the promotion following a September 2022 win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. Since then, Diaz has competed in two boxing matches, losing to Jake Paul in 2023 and defeating fellow former UFC star Jorge Masvidal in 2024. He has not competed in a mixed martial arts fight.
