Gregg Popovich has retired from coaching the San Antonio Spurs, and ESPN reporter Jay Williams had an idea of who should replace him.
And it was a completely ridiculous choice.
On Friday, Williams tweeted that he wanted Becky Hammon to replace the winningest coach in NBA history. For those of you who don’t know who that is, she is the head coach of the Las Vegas Aces – in the WNBA.
Yeah, that was Williams’ No. 1 pick to fill the void.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein projected the compensatory pick process for next spring and has the Ravens penciled in for four more extra draft picks following the departure of several key contributors.
How the process works
The number of compensatory picks allotted each year is limited to the number of teams in the league (32), per the collective bargaining agreement.
The Atlanta Falcons targeted defensive players with four out of their five selections in the 2025 NFL draft, which was not a surprise to anyone who watched the team last season. Offensively, the Falcons are in much better shape.
The team has a strong offensive line, a potential franchise quarterback in Michael Penix Jr. and a talented group of skill position players that includes three top-10 picks. Tight end Kyle Pitts, wide receiver Drake London and running back Bijan Robinson have all had their moments.
The baseball fan critically hurt in a 20-foot fall at PNC Park in Pittsburgh has been identified as Kavan Markwood.
Markwood fell from the bleachers onto the field during the seventh inning of the Pirates-Cubs game on Wednesday night, officials said. The game was briefly halted as emergency crews responded.
The Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety said the “incident is being treated as accidental.”
As of Thursday, Markwood remained in critical condition, according to the department of public safety.
