The Dodgers and star third baseman Max Muncy agreed to a new two-year contract on Thursday which will lock down the veteran slugger through the 2025 MLB season, per an announcement from the team.
Muncy’s new deal is worth a total of $24 million and will include a club option for the 2026 season worth $10 million. The 33-year-old was set to hit free agency after the 2024 season, but his new contract will keep him in Los Angeles for at least two more seasons.
Muncy had a club option for the 2024 season in his previous deal worth $14 million.

The Buffalo Bills signed veteran running back Leonard Fournette to add some depth behind James Cook. “Playoff Lenny” is looking for a shot at another Super Bowl ring and the Bills are trying to make it to the Big Game after falling short over the past few seasons.
But, there’s already a problem. Leonard Fournette does not like cold weather.
No lie Buffalo colder than a penguin ass out here lord……..

This isn’t surprising. First of all, most humans don’t like the cold. I come from Erie, Pennsylvania.
Bills running back Leonard Fournette has played for four teams in his organized football career: St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, LSU, the Jaguars and the Buccaneers.
All of these teams have one thing in common—they are in warm-weather environments. If you want to avoid the cold in the United States, New Orleans to Baton Rouge to Jacksonville to Tampa is one of the best paths of residency you could imagine.
However, Fournette’s life is different now. The veteran signed with Buffalo on Tuesday, and made his feelings about his new home perfectly clear on social media.
Bills safety Damar Hamlin will return to Cincinnati for a game against the Bengals on Sunday, just 10 months after he suffered a cardiac arrest at Paycor Stadium in January.
Despite what happened the last time he was on the field, Hamlin is entering Sunday’s game with a positive mindset thanks to all the support he received from Bengals fans this year.
“I think it’s going to be super electric, and I think it’s going to be nothing but love,” Hamlin told teammate Von Miller on The Voncast.
Jason Fitz is joined by PFF’s Sam Monson to dive into Week 9’s huge matchups, as the duo look at the matchups on both sides of the ball and give a prediction for Dolphins-Chiefs, Seahawks-Ravens, Cowboys-Eagles and Bills-Bengals. Next, Fitz and Sam put a spin on power rankings by pretending to become the NFL’s first NFL playoff committee. The duo rank the top 6 NFL teams using the metrics that the college football playoff committee uses: quality wins, bad losses, strength of schedule, etc.
Vibes are through the roof in Vegas.
The Las Vegas Raiders fired head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler on Tuesday night, and despite losing their head coach a couple of days ago, the Raiders locker room vibes are through the roof.
Let’s start with Davante Adams. On Monday, Adams was held to one catch for 11 yards, and was visibly frustrated after QB Jimmy Garoppolo overthrew him when he was open. That led to this on the sideline, visible frustration from a top-5 NFL receiver:

Caleb Williams began the season trying to do what’s only been done once before — win a second Heisman. For one reason or another, his odds are now long and Archie Griffin will remain alone in his unique club.
An early-November look at the contenders for college football’s most coveted award.
Ohio State earned the No. 1 spot in the first College Football Playoff ranking of the season but No. 3 Michigan is the betting favorite to win the national championship.
The top two teams in the Big Ten as well as No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Florida State have seemingly pulled away from the pack based on current betting odds via SI Sportsbook. The Wolverines (+225) own the best odds, followed by the Bulldogs (+250), Seminoles (+600) and Buckeyes (+700). There’s a sizable drop-off to the next tier of contenders, which includes No. 6 Oregon (+1200), No. 8 Alabama (+1400), No.
Cornerback Rasul Douglas was traded to the Bills earlier this week, and Green Bay running back Aaron Jones’s reaction is a good reminder of just how tough the business side of the NFL can be.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Jones expressed that he was pretty upset that Douglas, one of his best friends, was moved at the deadline.
“It was a moment I’ve never had,” Jones said. “I’ve never had somebody that close to me get traded…We both started talking and shed a few tears. It’s been a long journey for both of us.
