At first glance, it appears that Derek Carr is fitting in well with the Saints and loving his new home in New Orleans.
Carr signed a four-year deal with the Saints in March after visiting with several teams following a rocky end to his tenure with the Raiders last season. After spending all of his first nine NFL seasons with the franchise, Carr is taking advantage of his fresh start in New Orleans, especially when it comes to physical stature.

The Green Monster at Fenway Park has produced plenty of funky plays over its more than 110 years of history, but one particularly strange play Wednesday night might have been a first.
In the second inning, Royals center fielder Kyle Isbel drilled a line drive to left field, over the head of Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida. Instead of bouncing off of the Green Monster, the ball smashed through one of the built-in lights in the wall used for counting outs. Yoshida was baffled as he looked to retrieve the ball off the wall before eventually spotting it inside the light.
White Sox center fielder Luis Robert Jr. has some serious power. He leads all big league center fielders with 31 home runs this season, including four that traveled at least 430 feet. He’s the kind of guy who you might say can hit the ball clear out of the stadium. In fact, he did exactly that on Wednesday night against the Yankees.
In the third inning, New York starter Luis Severino hung a changeup in the upper part of the zone that Robert jumped on.

And it makes sense. He was a goofy dude, with a funky-looking physique (more on that later), and he took a ton of shots (more on that, a well). And sometimes, those shots were highly unwarranted. Heck, never once in his 12-year career was his shooting efficiency (measured by true shooting) at or above league average.
Nearly a decade after Odell Beckham Jr. burst onto the scene as an instant star in New York, the Giants may have another, lesser known, breakout offensive weapon.
United State Women’s National Team forward Alex Morgan posted a lengthy message to Instagram on Thursday following her team’s dramatic World Cup loss in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
“It hurts and it will for a while but this wound will eventually turn into a scar,” she wrote. “Another reminder that we compete because we want to be the best, measure ourselves against the top in the world. This time, we came up short. We know that and I own that.
“I’m so proud of the effort, the fight, and belief of this group,” she continued.
Colts coach Shane Steichen announced Thursday that first-round draft pick Anthony Richardson will get the start in the team’s first preseason game on Saturday over Gardner Minshew.
“My first NFL experience, just trying to get a victory and showcase my talents,” Richardson told reporters Thursday.
There’s been plenty of hype around Richardson ever since his days at Florida, most notably for his absurd athleticism. He stands at 6’4” and weighs 244 pounds and his frame played a big role in his 654 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground for the Gators in 2022.
Wins are tough to come by for the Mets these days, and they can thank rookie catcher Francisco Álvarez for Wednesday night’s victory over the Cubs.
New York entered the ninth inning clinging to a 4–2 lead over Chicago. Adam Ottovino took the mound to attempt to close things out and allowed a leadoff home run to Seiya Suzuki. After allowing a single and a walk, the Cubs had two runners on with only one out and Ottovino was pulled in favor of Phil Bickford.
A Nick Madrigal bunt advanced the runners to second and third, then Bickford struck out Christopher Morel for the second out.
