It did not take D.J. Moore long to show why he will become Justin Field’s No. 1 wide receiver option in the 2023 NFL season.
Moore, the former Panthers wideout who was part of the blockbuster deal that sent the No. 1 pick in the ’23 draft from the Bears to the Panthers, caught a screen pass from Fields and took it 62 yards to the end zone to give Chicago its first touchdown of the game.
Moore’s spectacular touchdown reception capped a three-play, 75-yard drive to begin the Bears’ scoring in their first preseason game.
Thieves have stolen several San Antonio Spurs championship jerseys out of a storage locker belonging to former NBA player Kevin Willis.
Willis reported the crime Tuesday when he noticed 10 of his former teammates’ jerseys were missing from his Roswell, Ga., storage locker. Another rack of clothing — worth around $9,000 — also went missing, according to the police report.

In the 911 call obtained by TMZ, Willis says the jerseys were framed inside the unit.

Browns linebacker Jacob Phillips suffered a torn pectoral and will miss the entire 2023 NFL season, coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Saturday.
Phillips, a four-year veteran, suffered the injury on Friday in the Browns’ 17-15 loss to the Commanders. He was a starter in Cleveland’s linebacker unit in the ’22 campaign, registering 46 tackles with 29 solo, two sacks, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits.
Since Cleveland drafted him in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft, Phillips has played in 20 games and recorded a total of 88 tackles and three sacks.
