A massive weekend of college football awaits.
Rivalry games from coast to coast dot the schedule this week, and there are implications for almost every single contest on the slate. Whether those implications involve the College Football Playoffs, potential head coaching vacancies, the upcoming transfer window, or more there are several reasons to tune into each game.
The Heisman race is no different.
Here’s an updated look at our Heisman Trophy rankings, with a peek ahead at what remains, and what is at stake, for each player.

The Los Angeles Rams head into Week 13 with a huge wave of momentum behind them.
They’re No. 1 in the NFC, riding a six-game winning streak and are getting healthier as the end of the season nears. With six games to play, the Rams could grab hold of both the NFC West and the No. 1 see in the conference in the hopes of blazing an easier pathway to another Super Bowl appearance.
And in Week 13, they’ll take on the upstart Carolina Panthers, who need a win to compete for the NFC South title and/or a wildcard spot.

Of the 93 quarterbacks drafted on Day 3 since 2010, only three, Kirk Cousins, Dak Prescott, and Brock Purdy, have gone on to become full-time starters. That number bumps up to seven if you include a few others, like Gardner Minshew, who’ve become spot starters. Is Sanders an elite player in the making, defying all odds? Almost certainly not. But if we take a second and recontextualize what it means to be legendary, then yes, he can still achieve those heights.

Cole Palmer is available to his long-awaited return from injury against Premier League leaders Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as Enzo Maresca welcomed back Chelsea’s “best player”.

David Martindale believes bottom club Livingston are now “much better equipped” to avoid the drop than when they were relegated two seasons ago.
Livi, who host Aberdeen on Sunday, are winless in 12 games in all competitions but Martindale is remaining upbeat despite his side sitting a point adrift at the foot of the table.
