Michigan State football has made a lot of updates to the gameday experience this offseason, and on Thursday they announced another fun addition.
The Spartans will be incorporating fireworks — yes, fireworks — into the gameday experience at Spartan Stadium this season, starting with Friday night’s opener against Western Michigan. Michigan State Athletics sent out a social media post on Thursday stating “we’ve been working on improving your gameday experience all summer. And we’re not done yet.” Included in that post was a graphic of fireworks.

The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers reached an agreement on a blockbuster trade Thursday involving Micah Parsons.
The Cowboys will send Parsons, a 26-year-old star pass rusher who recorded 52.5 sacks during his four seasons in Dallas, to the Packers. In return, Dallas will receive two future draft picks along with veteran defensive lineman Kenny Clark.
However, just moments before the deal was announced Cowboys legend and Hall of Famer Michael Irvin was on live television publicly declaring that no trade involving Parsons would take place.

The Packers joined the Cowboys in announcing their agreement on a trade sending defensive end Micah Parsons to Green Bay on Thursday evening.
The lone quote in the release announcing the trade does not concern Parsons, however. The Packers are trading defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks to Dallas, and the release includes a statement from General Manager Brian Gutekunst about the longtime Packer.
“We want to thank Kenny for the incredible impact he made in the locker room, on the field and in the community during his nine seasons in Green Bay,” Gutekunst said.

The Seattle Seahawks will enter the 2025 NFL season with two new starters on their offensive line, and they’re from the same school.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters after Thursday’s practice that the starters for next week’s season opener against the San Francisco 49ers will be as follows: Charles Cross (LT), Grey Zabel (LG), Jalen Sundell (C), Anthony Bradford (RG), and Abe Lucas (RT). One thing to pay attention to is how he phrased Sundell as the starting center.

Shaq Mason, the former Patriots lineman and two-time Super Bowl champion, was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee, on Wednesday.
Mason faces damning domestic violence charges, with his arrest coming just one day before Mason’s 32nd birthday (Thursday).
According to Franklin Police, Mason allegedly broke into the home of his child’s mother at approximately 3 a.m. and violently assaulted her, choking her, punching her in the face, and leaving her lip bloodied, according to details provided by TMZ.
