Have you ever wondered what would happen if pro baseball players tried their hand at golf? Well, now you’ll get your chance.
From Nov. 12 to Nov. 14, former and current professional baseball players will participate in the first ever MLB Open tournament at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, NV. This is all part of the MLB Awards week, in which the league will celebrate the best players in a variety of categories.
Former greats Jimmy Rollins, David Wright, and Fox MLB color commentator John Smoltz are confirmed to be in attendance.

Werder Bremen struck twice late on to deny beleaguered Wolfsburg a morale-boosting win and steal a 2-1 Bundesliga victory on Friday.

The Cleveland Browns are emerging from their bye week hungry for a victory, and the stage is perfectly set for a dominant performance as they head to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Jets in Week 10. The Jets’ recent decision to trade away two defensive stalwarts, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and star cornerback Sauce Gardner, has fundamentally reshaped their once-stout defense. These losses have converted a matchup that could pose a challenge into a potential feast for the Browns’ offense.
Coming off their 31 point victory over Evansville, Purdue returns to Mackey Arena for a game against Oakland. This will be another tuneup game, no offense Oakland I love bears!, before next week’s big matchup on Thursday against Alabama. As of this writing there has been no official word on if TKR will be back in the starting lineup or if he will be out once again. And then, if he’s being held out is it for precautionary reasons or is there something bigger going on? Let’s hope he gets back in the game tonight and Purdue fans can see their starting five back to full force.
I could not be more excited about the men’s hockey tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
While the women’s tournament is always great, the men’s suffered without NHL players. Luckily, they’ll make their return to the Games this time around, and that will make it must-watch hockey.
But while I’m pumped for the action, I always get nervous on the Olympic jersey front.
