Have you ever wondered what would happen if pro baseball players tried their hand at golf? Well, now you’ll get your chance.
From Nov. 12 to Nov. 14, former and current professional baseball players will participate in the first ever MLB Open tournament at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, NV. This is all part of the MLB Awards week, in which the league will celebrate the best players in a variety of categories.
Former greats Jimmy Rollins, David Wright, and Fox MLB color commentator John Smoltz are confirmed to be in attendance.

The Miami Dolphins are in the midst of yet another rebuild, this time jettisoning long-time general manager Chris Grier and trading former first-round draft pick Jaelen Phillips to the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The Fins are 2-7, sitting at the bottom of the AFC standings, and face a ton of tough decisions at the end of the season with regard to the futures of coach Mike McDaniel and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

One prime example was when the Big-12’s TCU hosted a New Orleans squad who was 4-27 a season ago. To the surprise of many, except those in the Big Easy, the Privateers came out on top 78-74 for a massive uplifting victory to begin the year. The Texans knew when the practice week began they wouldn’t have quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) or kicker Fa’imi Fairbairn (quad) for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
They also won’t have right tackle Tytus Howard (concussion), right guard Ed Ingram (knee), defensive back Jalen Pitre (concussion), fullback Jakob Johnson (hamstring) or linebacker Christian Harris (shin).
Houston has ruled out all six of them.
Davis Mills will start in place of Stroud, with Blake Fisher at right tackle and Juice Scruggs at right guard.

Coming off their 31 point victory over Evansville, Purdue returns to Mackey Arena for a game against Oakland. This will be another tuneup game, no offense Oakland I love bears!, before next week’s big matchup on Thursday against Alabama. As of this writing there has been no official word on if TKR will be back in the starting lineup or if he will be out once again. And then, if he’s being held out is it for precautionary reasons or is there something bigger going on? Let’s hope he gets back in the game tonight and Purdue fans can see their starting five back to full force.

I could not be more excited about the men’s hockey tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
While the women’s tournament is always great, the men’s suffered without NHL players. Luckily, they’ll make their return to the Games this time around, and that will make it must-watch hockey.
But while I’m pumped for the action, I always get nervous on the Olympic jersey front.
