Despite being labeled “transphobic” and “racist” by some of her own teammates, Angel City FC midfielder Elizabeth Eddy isn’t lashing out.
In fact, she’s still inviting them to her wedding.
Eddy, an 11-year NWSL veteran, made headlines last week for her powerful essay urging the league to implement sex-based eligibility policies. She appeared on Fox & Friends Wednesday to discuss the fallout and her hopes for finding unity, even with those who disagree.
“These teammates are my friends, and I’ve known them for a very long time,” Eddy said.

Hugh Freeze was fired as the head football coach at Auburn on Sunday, one day after the Tigers lost at home to Kentucky by the lowly score of 10-3. Freeze, who went 15-19 at Auburn, released your run-of-the-mill statement expressing appreciation for his time on The Plains after his dismissal, but one of his daughters, Madison, didn’t stick to the generic post-firing playbook.
Madison shared a lengthy video to her TikTok in which she honestly expressed her thoughts and feelings about her father being fired.

In 2025, the Toronto Blue Jays came out of nowhere and shocked the baseball world by winning the AL East before making a spirited run to the World Series. That was a lengthy jump from 2024 where they totaled 74 wins and appeared to be a team with no direction.
