Nelly Korda could not have asked for a better finish during her third round at the LPGA Drive On Championship.
For a good portion of the back nine on Saturday, Nelly Korda was neck-and-neck with Lydia Ko at the LPGA Drive On Championship.
But then Korda, the hometown favorite in Bradenton, Florida this week, seized control of the tournament with an incredible finish.

Joel Embiid missed his fourth straight road game against the Nuggets. He hasn’t played in Denver since 2019.
Ahead of their biggest game in almost seven decades, the Detroit Lions will lean on their best player of the last seven decades.
The Lions officially named Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders their honorary captain for the NFC championship against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the team announced Saturday afternoon.

Sanders, 55, is widely considered one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.
Selected with the No.
When people think of men’s college basketball venues with electric atmospheres, Kansas’ Allen Fieldhouse or Duke’s Cameron Indoor Stadium come to mind.
But the fans at Providence’s Amica Mutual Pavilion made the energy in those arenas look trivial today. And it all started because of a man named Ed Cooley.
For those of you who don’t know, Cooley formerly coached the Friars for 12 years, from 2011-2023.
Iowa State men’s basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger should have been fielding questions about his team’s 79–75 home upset of No. 7 Kansas on Saturday afternoon.
Instead, he addressed rumors that his team cheated in a midweek victory over Kansas State. For context, a report from Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle indicated that Wildcats coaches were concerned that Iowa State had staffers sitting behind the Kansas State bench trying to steal plays during Wednesday night’s 78–67 victory.
Otzelberger slammed the report in Saturday’s postgame press availability.
In an unusual turn of events, one of the most focused-on NFL award races of the year is the one for “Comeback Player of the Year.” This year, the two-horse race is between Joe Flacco — who led a struggling Cleveland Browns into the postseason at nearly 40 years old — and Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills, who returned to action after going into cardiac arrest on the field last season.
If you ask Flacco, hand that award right to Hamlin… although that’s kind of the only thing he can say in this situation.

Why a F1 race in Chicago is at least a possibility
In recent years, Formula 1 has made no secret of their desire to keep expanding into the United States. Building off the success of the Netflix docuseries Drive to Survive, which helped introduce new fans to the sport, F1 has increased its presence in the US these past few seasons. 2022 saw the introduction of a second race in America, the Miami Grand Prix, and last year saw the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix.
ESPN personality Pat McAfee made one thing very clear on Friday.
If former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick will not be on an NFL sideline next season, McAfee wants him to join his show.
“I will make this promise that if Bill Belichick is gonna do TV, ‘ol Pat McAfee will be in the running to try to get Bill Belichick to join our program,” McAfee said on Friday. “The amount of questions as soon as I see him—that may be the reason he doesn’t want it, but our group of humans’ never ending questions to Bill Belichick, who literally knows everything about the NFL.
BYU students were ready when Texas visited Provo, Utah on Saturday for a college basketball matchup between new Big 12 rivals. (The rivalry will be temporary as the Longhorns move to the SEC next season.)
Fans in the front row of the student section at the Marriott Center wore T-shirts that spelled out “Horns Down.” From all appearances, it was a good dig at the visiting team, using a phrase about which Texas fans are particularly sensitive.
Shilo, Shedeur and Deion Sanders Jr. teamed up to purchase a new home in Colorado for their dad, the man now known as Coach Prime.
The Colorado coach was visibly emotional when standing on the mansion’s property in a recent vlog posted by Well Off Media.
“Ya’ll are natural givers,” Sanders said to his sons. “… Ya’ll three want to put it together so that ya’ll make sure I’m straight when ya’ll gone [from Colorado]. That’s unbelievable, son. That almost provokes a tear.”
