Russell Westbrook’s tenure with the Lakers was a turbulent one to say the least. The former MVP was constantly criticized for his play on a team that fell drastically short of expectations and it all came to an end when he was traded to the Jazz in February. He would never suit up with the team, agreeing to a buyout before signing with the Clippers.
Now, his former Thunder and current Clippers teammate Paul George took an opportunity to address the Westbrook critics and why he wanted the all-time great with him in Los Angeles.
“He just did it.

It wasn’t exactly bathing suit weather on Tuesday night in Toledo, but that didn’t stop some fans from taking a dip.
Conditions before Toledo’s game against Buffalo at the Glass Bowl were brutal, with heavy snow falling as the teams warmed up. And while the snow dissipated by the time the game began, it was still quite chilly as temperatures struggled to crack 30 degrees.
The cold weather didn’t hamper the Rockets’ offense in a 31–13 victory, which meant there were plenty of opportunities to utilize the sideline dunk tank.
No wide receiver has ever won NFL MVP in the 67-year history of the award. Could A.J.
Thursday Night football kicks off at Acrisure Stadium this week as the Steelers host the Titans. The Steelers are expected to start a banged-up Kenny Pickett and are favored by 2.5 points at home. The Titans will start rookie Will Levis, who had an impressive debut on Sunday vs. the Falcons. The game total is set at only 36.5 at SI Sportsbook, and that means we are going to target a few running backs and their matchups in this game.
Here are my favorite early player prop values at SI Sportsbook.
Derrick Henry over 76.
Joel Embiid may soon find himself in World Wrestling Entertainment.
The seven-foot Philadelphia 76ers center went viral earlier this week after deciding to throw it back to the late ’90s with the wrestling group Degeneration-X and their “suck it” chop.
You or I may have received detention by doing it during middle school to our teachers (yes, that did happen). But Embiid got a different type of punishment when the league decided to fine him $35,000 because the gesture was deemed “inappropriate.”

Normally, the first College Football Playoff rankings come out around the point of the season where every unbeaten FBS team, no matter how small, has built up some measure of credibility.
However, two undefeated squads were left out of this year’s first rankings Tuesday evening: James Madison and Liberty.
The case of the Dukes is straightforward, if somewhat controversial: James Madison is ineligible for both Sun Belt and national accolades because the Dukes are in the process of transitioning from FCS to FBS.
Nick Saban didn’t exactly jump for joy upon finding out his team was throwing him a birthday party.
The Alabama coach turned 72-years-old Tuesday, and the fact the most feared man in all of college football was born on Halloween is almost so poetic that it’s Shakespearean.
Teams and fans have lived in fear of Saban ever since he was hired to run the team in Tuscaloosa. It’s almost like he was designed in a lab to scare the living daylights of anyone he comes up against.

24 players have been confirmed for Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL golf league, but should they consider female golfers in the future?
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are just a few months away from launching their TGL Golf League. On Tuesday, they unveiled the format for the matches that will air on ESPN beginning in early 2024.
While the original six teams already have 24 players to pick from, one of Playing Through’s readers, Twitter user Emily Richards, brought up a great point that deserves to be discussed.
As the Jets continue to hover around playoff contention in the absence of Aaron Rodgers, New York made a push to acquire wide receiver Mike Evans from the Buccaneers and wide receiver Davante Adams from the Raiders ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, according to a report from Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Ultimately, the Jets stood pat at the deadline, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
Jets general manager Joe Douglas’s inquired about both big-name pass catchers, but the respective teams were unwilling to trade them.
