More often than not, the most interesting part of a Monaco Grand Prix comes in qualifying and this year wasn’t any different. However, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez wouldn’t be as happy about the level of excitement involved.
That’s because Perez’s hopes of usurping his teammate Max Verstappen as the Formula 1 World Champion took a big blow on Saturday.
In qualifying, Perez lost control of his car and went sliding into the barriers at the outside of the circuit’s first corner, Sainte-Dévote.

During an Instagram Live session on Saturday, Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard jokingly addressed his ongoing links to the Lakers.
Lillard’s future in Portland is somewhat uncertain. Though the team insists its hoping to build a championship contender around him, that stance hasn’t quelled any trade rumors regarding the 32-year-old.
During his Instagram Live, Lillard comically responded to the fans who were urging him to join the Lakers.

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso says that there was a reason he hit a first-pitch homer a couple of weeks ago: because he had to take a dump.
Alonso revealed that his homer in the Mets’ May 10 win over the Reds was the byproduct of desperation.
Desperation in finding a bathroom after he mistimed his pre-game coffee.

Pete Alonso had no choice but to swing at a first pitch because he had to poop so bad after a poorly timed pregame coffee.
That swing? Home run. Then STRAIGHT to the bathroom.

No. 1 Oklahoma defeated No. 16 Clemson in extra innings, 8–7, to earn their 48th-straight win, officially breaking the record for the longest consecutive win streak in Division I softball history. The victory also clinched a Super Regional series win for the Sooners (56–1), who swept the Tigers, 2–0, to clinch a spot in the Women’s College World Series.
Tiare Jennings was the Sooners’ hero, crushing a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give Oklahoma the lead.

The Celtics have cooled off the Heat on the court, taking the last two games of the Eastern Conference finals to narrow the series to 3–2 heading into Game 6.
However, at least one Miami player remains at a steady boil. That would be guard Tyler Herro, who has been sidelined since breaking his hand in Game 1 of the Heat’s first-round series against the Bucks on April 16.
Herro took to his Instagram story to respond to a dig from TNT color commentator Stan Van Gundy. Van Gundy had quipped, “You know the No.

After nearly two weeks of inactivity, LeBron James broke his silence on Twitter Saturday amid ongoing speculation surrounding his NBA future to weigh in on, perhaps, the league’s most polarizing headline outside of his possible retirement.
The Lakers superstar has dominated the news cycle since teasing the idea of retiring on Monday after the Nuggets swept L.A. in the Western Conference finals.

Hindsight is 20/20 and now, Le’Veon Bell realizes that he may have made a mistake when he signed a deal with the New York Jets in 2019.
Bell somewhat famously sat out the entire 2018 NFL after failing to cut a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers had drafted him in 2013 and were still annual playoff contenders.
However, after playing the 2017 season under a franchise tag and missing 2018, Bell signed a deal that was around what he turned down from the Steelers to sign with the Jets.
