Following The Masters, most great players take the week off. But, this year’s RBC Heritage is an elevated event on the PGA Tour. So, most of the best players are teeing it up, including World Golf’s #14 player Cameron Young.
Young played well Sunday at Augusta, shooting a final round 68. That got him into the Top 10 of The Masters where he finished tied for 7th with Viktor Hovland.

Faster games and more action a winning combo for MLB fans
It’s an incredibly rare situation whenever MLB fans agree with something coming from league headquarters, it’s almost a feature of the game. And when its concerning new rules changing the way the game is played, fan support is almost unheard of.
But that’s exactly what’s happened.
MLB introduced more major rule changes this season than any other in recent history. This isn’t just changing out extra-innings are handled, or finally making the DH universal.

UCF head baseball coach Greg Lovelady insists that his program is not cheating. One of his former players says otherwise.
Who is telling the truth? Who is to say?
Here’s what we know:
Earlier this year, a former Knights baseball player — who is no longer with the program — alleged that cheating runs rampant within Lovelady’s program. He sent emails to multiple programs around the conference and across the country with his claims.
The former UCF player, unnamed at this time, said that one of his teammates had altered his bat, among other things.

The Rays continue to be the surprise story of the first two weeks of the 2023 MLB season as they improved to a perfect 13–0 on the year with Thursday’s 9–3 victory at home over the Red Sox.
Right-handed reliever Kevin Kelly got the win on the mound for the Rays, who improved to 10–0 at home.
Kelly threw one of the most disgusting pitches of the MLB season during his 2 2/3 innings of work against the Red Sox, as his 76-mph backdoor slider defied physics by bending in at the last moment to catch the outside part of the plate for a called third strike.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht doesn’t deny linebacker Devin White might be upset and might have requested to be traded. But it’s a moot point.
Licht says he’s not trading one of the team’s defensive captains.
“I have no intention,” Licht said succinctly on Thursday.
Instead Licht tried to send the message that White is valued and appreciated and wanted. Even if all that comes with limits. One limit is salary, as White is scheduled to get $11.7 million in 2023 under his fifth-year option rather than an extension.

In the aftermath of the Pelicans’ season-ending 123–118 defeat to the Thunder in Wednesday night’s play-in tournament game, guard CJ McCollum made some postgame comments that seemed to be alluding to the absence of star forward Zion Williamson.
Williamson was inactive for the game, and hasn’t suited up for New Orleans since Jan. 2 while recovering from a hamstring injury. Guard Jose Alvarado and forward Larry Nance Jr.

When an almost universally disliked owner is forced to sell a sports franchise, most of us assume the disappointment they must feel is assuaged by the billions of dollars that will rattle into their bank accounts.
Indeed, Dan Snyder can now buy his own fledgling football league and run it into the ground if he so chooses. He can buy his own island on which he can sign aging stars like the Saudi professional soccer league and force them to play for his own amusement.

UConn star forward Adama Sanogo is declaring for the NBA draft, according to insider Adam Zagoria. The news was confirmed by Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, who added that Sanogo has not completely ruled out returning to college.
The big man just finished his junior season with an NCAA national title and was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player in the process. He averaged 17.2 points and 7.7 rebounds a game while shooting 60.6% from the field this past season. During the NCAA tournament, he averaged 19.7 points and 9.8 rebounds, scoring 17 against San Diego State in the title game.

The 2023 Masters had a thrilling final round on Sunday that saw Jon Rahm run away from Brooks Koepka to win his first green jacket by four strokes.
You know who else made a big push in the final round? Phil Mickelson.
The 52-year-old left-hander, who has won the Masters four times in his career, stunned just about everyone with his second-place finish which came thanks to five birdies and no bogeys over the final nine holes.
There was lots of chatter from fans afterward about whether or not CBS gave Mickelson enough attention on Sunday’s broadcast.

There’s a reason that many people refer to the lead-up to the NFL Draft as the “silly season.” Things change almost daily. Tons of information comes flying in, some of it true, some of it not. In a perfect example, Bryce Young has completely flipped with C.J. Stroud as the betting favorite for #1 overall.
Again.
Las Vegas books favored Bryce Young to be the top pick from the jump. But following the Carolina Panthers trade for the number one pick, Stroud jumped him. Not only did Stroud jump him, but Anthony Richardson did as well.
