Many star players missed the cut at the Memorial Tournament, a troublesome sign with the U.S. Open around the corner.
Despite employing a 73-player field this year, the Memorial Tournament still had a 36-hole cut. Only the top 50 players and ties—or anyone within 10 shots of the lead—made the cut.
Fifty-two players finished at 4-over or better, meaning anyone who finished at 5-over or worse failed to make the weekend.

Friday’s second practice session at the Canadian Grand Prix led to some concerns over at Red Bull
The Formula 1 grid arrived in Montreal for this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix, with dreams of a true title fight dancing in the minds of fans.
Friday’s two practice sessions perhaps added to those dreams.
Free practice one was largely a washout, as heavy downpours and even some hail worked through the area in the moments before FP1 began.

The sports agency co-founded by pop star Bad Bunny has committed “a series of grave violations” in dealings with baseball players, according to the Major League Baseball Players Association.
The world-famous Puerto Rican rapper and singer launched Rimas Entertainment — a sports management agency — in April 2023. And just a year later, his main baseball agent, William Arroyo, had his MLBPA certification revoked. That’s after a union investigation into complaints that Rimas offered improper benefits to players. In other words, bribing them to sign with the agency.

The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) has released previously redacted photos of the injuries and clothing damage officer Bryan Gillis suffered in the Scottie Scheffler incident. And let’s just say they did nothing to help the officer’s claims about what he suffered.
If you recall, Scheffler was arrested and put in jail before the second round of the PGA Championship began on May 17.

Louisville Police released photos of Officer Bryan Gillis’ pants, which led fans to go wild in the wake of Scottie Scheffler’s arrest.
If anyone thought the Scottie Scheffler arrest saga ended when the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) dropped charges, they are sadly mistaken. Nearly a month after Scheffler’s arrest at the PGA Championship, more details from that morning continue to go public.

Super Regional action began on Friday with Florida State rolling against Connecticut
Men’s College World Series Super Regionals began on Friday, with the final 16 teams split into eight best-of-three series. Four games are on the Friday slate, with Florida State hosting Connecticut with the first pitch shortly after noon Eastern.
The first game of their three-game set was, for all intents and purposes, over shortly after that.

Randy Gregory has filed a lawsuit against the NFL and the Denver Broncos. The pass rusher is claiming discrimination after being fined more than $500,000 for THC use.
Gregory claims he was prescribed Dronabinol (essentially, synthetic THC) by his physician to help address social anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, according to The Denver Post. While the NFL no longer suspends players for testing positive for THC, it is a banned substance, and the athletes can still be fined.
