All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is close to finalizing a hefty broadcast extension with Warner Bros. Discovery. 
Puck News reported on Monday night that the soon-to-be-announced AEW-WBD extension will be for four years (three years guaranteed, plus an option) for around $170 million per year.
Billionaire Tony Khan (who, along with his father Shahid, also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars) founded AEW in 2019. The company was billed as the first true alternate to WWE since WCW in the mid-to-late 90s.
The perception and narratives around AEW are ever-changing.

NBC college football analyst and former Penn State quarterback Todd Blackledge joined OutKick’s Dan Dakich on Tuesday and made some interesting comments about legendary coach Joe Paterno. 
Blackledge talked about the Paterno statue, which was torn down from the Penn State campus after Jerry Sandusky was arrested. 
Blackledge also noted something very intriguing about Paterno not wanting the school to join the Big 10, which they did in 1990.

Earlier in 2024, the Miami Dolphins signed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a four-year, $212.4 million deal to make him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL. In 2023, he played the entire season without missing a start, and fully healthy, the Dolphins opted to extend him.
On Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills, Tagovailoa suffered another concussion, which has prompted several folks around the NFL sphere to suggest he should retire, though early reports are that he is not planning to do so.

The Indianapolis Colts invested the No. 6 overall pick on Nelson coming out of Notre Dame in the 2018 NFL Draft, and he’s exceeded every reasonable expectation during the start of his pro career.

There has been a long-running rivalry between Reese and Clark going back to their days in college, but it’s seemingly become very one-sided in the WNBA.
Clark doesn’t really ever mention Reese or the Chicago Sky. Meanwhile, Reese can’t seem to stop using the Indiana Fever and WNBA sensation for attention.
On the first episode of her podcast, Reese “there’s a lot of racism” when it comes to people who like Clark. Now, she’s doubled down.

It’s less than 24 hrs after the Panthers decision to bench Bryce Young in favor of veteran Andy Dalton, and the discourse surrounding Carolina is at an all-time high. On Tuesday morning Mel Kiper Jr. went on Get Up and absolutely roasted the entire process around the second year quarterback.

The University of Tennessee continues to try and find ways to raise money for the upcoming revenue-sharing with student athletes, and they’ve come up with an interesting solution. 
Starting in 2025, Tennessee will add a 10% ‘Talent Fee’ to season tickets for fans of the Vols, along with an increase in ticket prices of an average overall 4.5%. 
The decision to make this move now all goes back to the school trying to get out ahead of the upcoming House vs. NCAA settlement that is going to change how student-athletes are paid by the schools themselves.
