The 2024 Olympics are here! Day 1 of the men’s competition saw low scores and some high ones too. Le Golf National had perfect conditions and many of the players took advantage of it.
Jason Day is a 13-time winner on the PGA Tour, the winner of the 2015 PGA Championship, has finished runner-up in each of the other three major championships, been a member of four Presidents Cup teams. To say he’s been in his fair share of pressure-packed situations on the golf course would be an understatement, but what he felt during the first round of the 2024 Olympics golf tournament was unlike anything he’d ever experienced.

Plenty of big names, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, are off to good starts at the Olympic Golf Competition in Paris.
Two of the world’s most popular players turned in solid opening rounds at the Men’s Olympic Golf Competition in Paris on Thursday.
Scottie Scheffler shot a 4-under 67, a score that featured four birdies and no bogies. The top-ranked player in the world is tied for sixth, four strokes behind leader Hideki Matsuyama.
Algeria’s Imane Khelif, the Olympic boxer who was caught last year “pretending to be” a woman after a series of DNA tests, posted to social media this morning for the first time after her controversial opening-round win in the Olympics.
For those who missed it, Khelif – who was accused last year by the International Boxing Association president Umar Kremlev of tricking her colleagues and posing as a woman – entered the ring for the first time Thursday in Paris.
A scary situation unfolded at Cleveland Browns training camp on Thursday when RB D’Onta Foreman left the field in an ambulance after taking a blow to the head.
The Browns released a statement saying that Foreman experienced neck pain following the hit and was taken by helicopter to a facility in Virginia.
“During practice today, Browns RB D’Onta Foreman sustained a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain. The Browns athletic training staff deployed their standard emergency action procedures to immobilize Foreman,” the statement read.
